Lauf lauf

Today I looked into the mirror, saw my image and something else that I always said to myself ‘nah,,it will not happened to me so soon’’..

Well, it did happen already.

I saw some very fine wrinkled lines at the side of my eyes..ooops…did I miss that part of my face on my ‘sometimes when I am not lazy’ facial regime…

These lines got me into a frenzy overtime of cleansing, toning, moistening and putting on that ‘night cream’ that I thought I will never ever need. Hubby must be wondering if I have someone special outside that I need to impress on ʘ‿ʘ

Well, after a week of hard work, they are getting less apparent. For prevention (which is better than cure mah), I shall not be so generous with my laughter (cos every laughter will create an extra wrinkle), I shall not read any humorous emails (which will make me laugh outrite) and I shall not talk too much.

But then life would be so boring to be so uptight & I would be a very very depressed lady. Imagine trying to stifle every muscle movement on the facial plateau, wow that really would be one HUGE MONSTROUS TASK for me.

To accept these lines graciously, I shall dedicate each line (& those to come) to every laughter I have brought to my loved ones & friends…is there not a saying

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE..

The wood of the tree is used for making various musical instruments, while the fruit is a common ingredient for many Asian dishes.

3. Passion Fruit
The passion fruit has a soft, juicy interior full of seeds, being commonly found in juices to boost their flavors. There are two types of passion fruit: the golden one (maracuyá), similar to a grapefruit and the dark purple passion fruit (gulupa), comparable in terms of size with a lemon. However, the latter ones have been reported as being mildly poisonous.

4. Lychee

There are two kinds of star fruits – acidulate and sweet, both rich in vitamin C. The fruit is particularly juice, some even making wine out of it.

6. Mangosteen

The mangosteen is another evergreen tree that produces oddly shaped fruits. The fruits are purple, creamy, described as citrus with a hint of peach. There are even legends about Queen Victoria offering a reward to the one that brings her the fruit. In Malaysia, sometimes this fruit is also known as Queen of Fruits.

7. Kumquat
Native to China
The kumquats or cumquats are small edible fruits resembling oranges that grow in a tree related to the Citrus. As with most of the fruits in the Citrus family, the kumquats are eaten raw. They are often used in marmalade and jelly but also in alcoholic drinks such as liquor. The Taiwanese add it to their teas, while others boil it and use it as a remedy for sore throats.

8. Durian

Also known as the “King of Fruits,” Durian has a very particular odor, a unique taste and is covered by a hard husk. Having a disagreeable smell, compared to skunk spray or sewage, the fruit is forbidden in hotels and public transportations in Southeast Asia. Still, the whole experience is worth it, considering the absolutely divine taste of the Durian.

Arisu Korean Restaurant

Korean dolls displayed on the window ledges

While the rest of the family is enjoying authentic Korean cuisine in Jeju Island, we decided that we could also enjoy it in Kuala Lumpur.
Drove over to Kota Damansara. Found this restaurant, located on the 3rd Floor.

Korean can eat real spicy food, as the soup we ordered tasted like tom yam, minus the souriness. Hubby was pespiring profusely and I was having a 'running nose' after consuming this spicy kam chai soup.

Overall, the food is so so and they are rather kam siap (thrifty) with their side condiment varieties.

There is a better Korean restaurant down the road, with good food & nice deco, which we tried few months ago.

Pork Meat Pie with Mushroom Soup

Today, Jr went to her primary school to help out with the sports day event. Mummy could not go kai kai or anywhere as had to fetch her home at 12noon.

I decided to try my hand on Shepherp Pie, which I have promised my doters I would baked eons ago.

To do that, I have to visit the market to get the meat. Instead of lamb, I used pork, cos it’s

Cheaper
Easier to locate
No heatiness

Boiled some potatoes in salted water, mashed them, put them back to the pot, stirred in some butter, salt and pepper for taste.

Cooked the seasoned meat with shredded carrot, celery & onions, and yes, a dash of olive oil with butter.

Boiled an 'old chicken' aka loh kai to make Chinese mushroom soup..

Simple and economical lunch...

To kill boredom & from falling into the afternoon nap trap, I baked a marble butter cake for tea.

I added a bit of whipping cream to make the cake richer..

DEFINITELY A FATTENING SUNDAY!

Hahaha..my sms was sent at 5in the evening lah..

guess she was too stress out from work at the end of the 1st april 2010 to notice that for the month of june, there is only 30 days.

First, we drove to Seremban to attend my 5th uncle's birthday at his house.

Uncle sportingly let us dunked him with cake's cream

After the party @ Seremban, drove to Malacca and arrived before midnite, checked into the hotel and into the lovely embrace of the bed.
