15Malaysia is a short film project. It consists of 15 short films made by 15 Malaysian filmmakers. These films not only deal with socio-political issues in Malaysia, they also feature some of the best-known faces in the country, including actors, musicians and top political leaders. You may think of them as funky little films made by 15 Malaysian voices for the people of Malaysia.

Upto now, only 7 films has been released. To watch all the 15 films, please go to 15Malaysia.com.

Below are the first two films.

POTONG SAGA

Ipoh Trip/FOOD - Saturday 22nd Aug 2009

One of the main purpose of Ipoh trip was to taste the food at this restaurant, which is recommended by Ah Xiang Good Taste - Astro.

This place is located at Bercham.

Kedai Makanan Rasa Lain

what we ordered:

steamed garoupa with their inhouse special sauce

lala in superior stock

steamed kampung chicken

highly reccommended claypot rice with crabs

The bill was RM129.00, which is reasonable considering the portion.

On our next trip, we will try their crab claypot mee hoon/tang hoon as well as their fish porridge.

Ps : It's such a small world, we met a neighbour at the same restaurant.

Ipoh Trip /FOOD - Sat 22.08.09

Tea break was at Kedai Kopi Sin Yoon Loong at the old town area.

Recommended : White Coffee (which was too sweet to my personal liking)

Kaya / Butter Toast

Like the tai tau kueh sold at a stall opposite the restaurant, which was only RM0.60/pc.

Ipoh Trip/FOOD - Saturday 22nd Aug 2009

FOOD

A trip without food would not be perfect!

Restaurant Sun Seng Fatt

Serves only noodles @ RM3.80/bowl

the signature noodles is Curry Mee

Other noodles/dish available: Ipoh Sar Hoe Fun, Lum Mee, Prawn Wantan
The portion is kind of small, but maybe that was because we were all hungry.

Little Nyonyas

While waiting for dinner time, we went into Jusco Kinta Valley Shopping Centre, to escape from the heat/sun.

Saw these kebayas and we could not resist trying them out.

PS: Have to tattoo-out my face as it definitely does not bring credit to the nice kebayas

Ipoh Trip - Saturday 22nd Aug 2009

Last Saturday, we had our family's one day trip to Ipoh. SIL was our tour-guide.

PLACES WE VISITED

First stop after exiting Ipoh South Toll was to Pamelo Orchard. After many phone calls and wrong turnings, we managed to locate the place.

The owner was there to show us around his orchard. Besides pameloes, he has also planted jambu batu (guava) and jambu air (aka wax apple, love apple, java apple, water apple). But his main income is from the pameloes.

Next stop was Perak Caves. It has been many years since I visited this place. Nothing has changed much, just that they have added about 250steps which will take you to the top of the hill, where one can see Ipoh city.

Lang Mountain Recreational Park is located along the same road as Perak Caves. This park was built at a budget of RM8.4million. To me, the place is only so so ..nothing great to shout about. Visit only if you really have nowhere to go.

Sunday Tea Time

Daughter saw some Asian Food Channels and mentioned that it was very easy to make ice cream. Ingredients : double cream , sugar, and your own choice of flavorings.

As we do not have double cream, she used whipped cream, with sugar and Van Houten chocolate powder.

Final result, we had this as our Sunday tea :-

Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream
Homemade Walnut Raisin Cupcake
Banana (nope,. not home made nor home grown)

Astro Sport Channel & F1 Races

Hahaha..today my hubby has to watch relayed telecast of Valencia F1, all because Astro increased their sports package by RM12.00. When we received the circular on the increase, hubby(jokingly) told me to cancel that channel.
He is the only one watching Sports Channel and that's only for F1 races. He mentioned that he can watch the race on NTV7

I called Astro the next working day & told them to just cancel the Sports Package from our subscription..

Now hubby has to watch the race after the F1 has finished racing over at whenever they are!!!

at time of this posting, the relayed telecast is still on going.......who won the Valencia Race??

Internet connection sucks!!

Have been changing our internet providers! First, we subscribed to Maxis, because Telekom Malaysia said no ports available at our area. So we had to live with the unstable connection/reception from Maxis ..sometimes at 380kb or less...was stuck with that for 2 years as hubby signed a contract, if cancel earlier, kena penalti.

now we have tmnet @ 512kb. ok lah, I thought with a higher KB, we can zip thru all our wwww with in seconds and downloads within minutes..well, think again cos fat hopes of that ever happening with our IT connection.

Want to upload photos to blog also takes ages...losing patience over this slow connection..looks like we have to start looking through different IT packages and providers again.

Left Behind Luggage

This morning, boss went to Singapore for a golf tournament. He landed at Changi airport and discovered that his luggage& golf gadgets had decided to stay put in our local airport, thanks to the carrier company. After many ding-dong calls, the airline confirmed that the bags were still in our local airport.

Now, he is without his shoes, clubs and what-nots that he would need to make a perfect T-off!

It’s a good opportunity for him to go shopping and shove the bills to the carrier for leaving behind his stuffs! Told him to keep all the receipts, even those for his underwear!!!

h1 n1

It was a breeze driving my daughter to school this morning as the horrendous traffic was missing.

The school is located on higher ground. There is also a Chinese primary school, which share the same road leading to the school at the end of the road.

Every morning, the road will be choked with cars (big, small, old, new) and many kiasu parents (and teachers), whom will zig-zag, overtake from the left or right, jostle their way and use whatever tactics they can master, when the 3 roads become 1 lane! The situation gets worst when it rains!

Almost half or three quarter of the students have declared self-quarantine. Last week, rumour had it that a student was infected with HINI. The situation had worsened and now there are about 5-6 cases. Many students took this opportunity and excuse to ponteng (like my daughter) and stay home to do self-study (which I doubt very much this is what my doter did). She has Chinese exam today, otherwise, she will still be on ‘self-declared’ quarantine.

I hope and pray the situation will improve and life will be back to normal soon because

.....

I miss swearing & honking at parents whom cut into my lanes!

HTML is killing me!

Today, I am freaking mad (yes, just like what my doter said) freaking mad but at myself, because I realised I am so freaking stupid.

I can kick myself silly and yet not know how to do it.

Tried to insert a HTML code into this blog, but tried as I may, nothing is happening.

I will give it a few more tries, if I am still not successful, I will freaking well give it up

ARRRRGGGGGHHH!

i AM STUPID or Wat?

Ms Wong - My Kawan

My friend sent me this email yesterday at about 4 sumting, as I was about to pack for the day and go home to enjoy myself.

She then desperately called me and asked me to help her draft the letter…

Did I help or not?

Ok, I sure help loh cos me very nice lady wat and she is a loh yau kei!

well, let see why she is a loh yau kei

Her signature greetings will make your ears hot and your cheeks red.

She is the lady whom never invited us to her house because she is afraid we will mess-up her home, although we promised to be good girls , be on our best behavior and help to clean up the mess!!

She is the lady whom pre-cooked the food when she invited us, that's after umpteen time of threats to sever our friendship, for a steam-boat lunch. Her reason : fast fast eat, then can leave her house and she can starts her dettol-clean up!

She is the lady who definitely makes the most noise in our gatherings! without her, it will only be half the fun!

Without her, life will definitely be very very quiet and a bit peaceful.

and Miss Wong, when you read this entry, remember when we have pot luck ...it means you have to bring a personally home-cooked dish to share, not just your belly pot to fill up !!!!

Lucky Me!

I have never been lucky in any lucky draws, perhaps GOD has blessed me in other ways.

So whenever there's a lucky draw, I will just be happy for the other luckier people.

At the loyalty nite, there was a lucky draw event. My girlfriend was lucky to win a hamper of some make-up stuff. I chit-chated and while away my time while the event was going on. And then I heard my name and company's name being announced by the MC..I was like..what,,are they calling my name?? Cannot be cause I've never won any so far, nevertheless, my girlfriend was shouting for me to go get my prize..

hahhaaha..ok. so i got a bit of luck this time.

And what did I get.....a cake mixer!

Swallow It Ladies!! For Cancer Prevention!

An interesting article which I read from a blog-roll..

This is just the kind of news you guys have been waiting for …

A study shows that women who perform a fellatio (blow-job) and swallow the semen have a lower risk of getting breast cancer.

Oct 2, 2003 report by AP that says women who do this on a regular basis, one to two times a week, may reduce their risk of breast cancer by up to 40%.

The study by the North Carolina State University was done on over 15,000 women suspected of having performed regular fellatio and swallowed the ejaculatory fluid over the past ten years.

“Only with regular occurance will your chances be reduced, so I encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of their daily routine,” said Dr. Helena Shifteer, one of the researchers at the University.

“Since the emergence of the research, I try to fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances.”

The study is reported in the Journal of Medical Research.

Almost every woman is, at some point, going to perform the act of fellatio, but it is the frequency at which this event occurs that makes the difference, say researchers. Also key seems to be the protein and enzyme count in the semen, but researchers are again waiting for more test data.

“The findings do suggest that there are other causes for breast cancer besides the absence of regular fellatio,” Shafteer said. “It’s a cause, not THE cause.”

Well, after reading this article, we sure will look at sticky stuff as just not to make babies but also as the BIG C saviour!!

Stupid Shit Guy

Last nite, I attended a hotel gathering for loyal supporters. Loyal supporters as in the sense that we give them room nites, and not sleeping in their rooms.

Beside the free makan, they also had some companies, whom sponsored door gifts, free hair-do/make-ups and advices on how to look & feel good.

One of the sponsors, a hairdressing academy, had a 30 minute session about grooming. The representative was a guy, let’s called him Mr XYZ.

Mr XYZ started off saying that he has 25 pairs of spectacles (although he does not need any). Those spectacles were to make him look more mature to his clients as he is only 29 years old. To me, he looks more like he is approaching 40 with his beard and without his specs. Anyway, personally I think no one was interested in how old he is !

He continued to say that ladies must make themselves feel good and walk (or was it ‘fly’) like there's winds beneath her feet. He said ‘You must make sure you make enough money so that you can spend more money to beautify yourself! You need to have at least 50pairs of shoes, with matching handbags, accessories and a colourful wardrobe, like Ms Mariah Carey (ok, the Mariah part I add in myself wan). And make sure you are fully painted with make-up before you leave the house!

Mr XYZ mentioned that he has about 10 PAS (personal Assistants), one of whom was a runner up in a beauty queen competition. Whenever he mentioned that he has an appointment with so and so the next day, he will ask her to take extra care with her dressing and she will come with a lowered neckline!!!! And his clients appreciate it!

Cissss….now he sounding more like a pimp than an image consultant!!

He continued with a lots of remarks, which I personally felt was degrading to female gender.

This guy think of ladies like vases or some decorative stuff with only air between the ears. The females are there to pamper the male visual and pander to their egos!

hello kawan, confident ladies do not have to hide behind thick wall of paint and lowered necklines or shorten hemlines just to stay in the job…we are at the loyalty night because we are smart/intelligent and we have a brain that we fully utilised. That's what our bosses pay us to do, not just to be a decorative vase or whatever!!

He is a guy full of stupid shits!!!

Double-Heart Attacks Year

2009 is the Year of Double-Heart Attacks. That’s because I have 2 young ladies in my house, with my hubby’s surname and some of my genes, sitting for their government exams, one in Sept and the other in Nov/December.

Perhaps as parent, I am on the kiasu side, always worrying that they will not do well in the subjects and not being able to go to a school/college of their choice (or is it mine??). However, the two ladies are taking life so easy and not in a bit hurry for any revisions.

We are the ones always telling (or rather yelling) them to do daily revision. Some of the advices I gave reminded me of those days when we were told of the same by our elders. Historical sentences repeating themselves when it comes to parenting advices.

I guess I have to take life easy like them too, otherwise I may not live to see them graduating!!!

My Daughter & National Service

My daughter kena National Service

'Tahniah bahawa Jasmine Goh (ic number) telah dipilih untuk menyertai PLKN bagi siri 7/2010'

I had to read the sms myself to believe ...aiyah why is she so 'lucky' to strike this NS stuff..

Need to write in defer and hopefully she does not have to go to one of those 'CAMP', which will not serve any purpose anyway..!
