PLACES WE VISITED
First stop after exiting Ipoh South Toll was to Pamelo Orchard. After many phone calls and wrong turnings, we managed to locate the place.
The owner was there to show us around his orchard. Besides pameloes, he has also planted jambu batu (guava) and jambu air (aka wax apple, love apple, java apple, water apple). But his main income is from the pameloes.
Next stop was Perak Caves. It has been many years since I visited this place. Nothing has changed much, just that they have added about 250steps which will take you to the top of the hill, where one can see Ipoh city.
Lang Mountain Recreational Park is located along the same road as Perak Caves. This park was built at a budget of RM8.4million. To me, the place is only so so ..nothing great to shout about. Visit only if you really have nowhere to go.
