It was always my dream to visit New Zealand, land of the Kambing Biri-Biri.
Studying about this country in Geography lessons, watching documentaries and photos while growing up (and old), it was definitely on my 'wish-to-visit' countries.
But this remain off-limit/budget it was kind of expensive to this Maori land. Flight ticket would have been the major issue.
Fortunately, I did get to realise my dream at last. With the launch of AAX flight to Christchurch, and the 'green light' from HB, I managed to get an fairly priced return tickets and started happily making plans for a two week self-drive holiday in South Island for early spring of 2011.
This year, being our 20th wedding anniversary, we took this as an additional excuse to go for a twosome holiday without the kids, just 2 old folks spending time together, rekindling (hopefully) the romance in life, and hopefully, not get lost in the lovely land of the Maoris.
Thanks to my HB and my MIL and family, for they have really supported, some how in one way or another, that we could really enjoy our short but wonderful sojourn to such a lovely country.
My entries in my blog about this travel, logged somewhere in cyber space, which perhaps I (and hopefully my kids) would be able to read through and reminiscences one day when I am old and can only do arm chair travelling.
