Paris

Some years back, the company sent me to Germany HQ for some training...it was more of a incentive trip actually, to meet my German colleagues whom I corresponded daily about business and sometime shared private nonsense jokes, etc

The HQ is located in a small city about 70km away from Frankfurt.

We, hubby tagged along too, took the opportunity to divert our journey abit. To sit in an aeroplane for 12-13 hours and see my colleagues and some productions procedures, that would really be a waste of the resources. So we synergised by flying into Paris, took a train to Munich (south Germany), bused over to Salzburg in Austria.

Our trip was in May, which was early spring, and one of the most comfortable time to travel. This was also our first free and easy overseas trip. We booked our hotels, did some online research on the transportations and planned our itinerary.

First stop was Paris because it is one of the most romantic cities..

Eifel Tower is at the far background

strong hubby supporting Tower with one shoulder ;-)

On Eifel Tower- Outdoor Observation Deck (276 meters), part of Paris & River Seine on background

The Arc de Triomphe (Arch of Triumph) of Paris, one of the monuments left to the city by emperor Napoléon.

Les Invalides, Paris

This building was initially a home for the aged and hospital for the invalid . Now it is a military museum and tombs for Napoleon's family, several military officers who served under him, and other French military heroes

The sarcophagus of Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
(his remains are inside)

This is the coffin of
Joséphine de Beauharnais (born Marie Josèphe Rose de Tascher de la Pagerie (1763-1814) the first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, thus the 1st Empress of France.

Psst: This couple sure died young...Mr Bonaparte @ 51 years old and Mrs Bonaparte @ 50 years old.

Fast Foods @ Carl's Jr

Junk food is an informal term applied to some foods with little or no nutritional value, or to products with nutritional value but which also have ingredients considered unhealthy when regularly eaten, or to those considered unhealthy to consume at all.

And sometimes fast food is also known as junk food..
Fast food is already part of life here in Malaysia as it is in the West. With McDonalds, KFCs, Pizza Hut and Dominos all over the place, it's not going to be long before burgers and pizzas replace rice as our staple diet.

There is a saying, ‘when you cannot fight them, you have to join them’

Our dinner on Sunday @ 16/11/2008 at Sunway Pyramid

the burgers are real HUGE and the fries taste good!

Better to share as ONE burger is too huge for one person..

BACON SWISS

SUPER STAR WITH CHEESE
(with 2 pieces of beef patties)

SINGLE PROMO (the green sauce tasted like wasabi with mayonaise)

JR enjoying her single promo

(notice the size of the burger)

Sr struggling with the burger after accidentally letting it slipped from the wrapping

dADA having his first bite ,,,,

DOES THIS MAKES US A FAMILY OF JUNKIES?? WUAahahahah

Move It !- Madagascar II - Escape 2 Africa

It's the beginning of the long school holidays...and it's also the begining of a tiring session for us parents to keep those hormone raging teenagers occupied..

The girls dragged us both to the cinema on Sat - 15/11 to watch movie Madagascar II. To make sure we get to see it, they chose Cineleisure at the Curve. This cinema has the most screenings. When we reached the The CurVe, it was almost 4 thirtyish, the car park was full.. so we had to wait and play guessing game...it's fun actually to wait and make guesses who is leaving, where is his/her car parked etc etc while waiting for a legal parking space.

By the time we parked our car, reached the ticket counters, most of the earlier screenings had limited seatings,,and most of these are the first couple of rows where you have to crank & crack your neck by the time the movie ENDed!

No choice, we took the 8.30pm screening and each ticket cost RM11, and sorry, no child fare cost it's BLOCK BUSTER screening..so expect to pay also BLOCK BUSTER prices..

Sitting thru 1.5 hours of cartoon was relaxing and entertaining and peaceful..forget all the tensions and worries..

You Got to See It, See It !

5 stars Toilet

Going for a pee at the public toilets is a very very nauseating cum scary experiences for many of us. Most foreigners have bad experiences and have nothing nice to say about our public toilets, especially those at bus stations, recreation parks, gas pump station and so forth. Even at some public toilets in shopping malls, where you have to pay to pee, they are also in deplorable state…you can find fungus on the wall, broken lock, and even foot prints on the toilet seats and sometimes some floating stuff in the bowl. And of course, not to mention water every where, courtesy of people whom does not know the existence of the tissue paper for certain purposes.

Malaysian public toilets are well renowned for their filthiness.

Well, there is definitely the exceptional cases, where the washrooms are clean and not smelly and entrance is freee...

Looks like a toilet from a 5* hotel rite

with full length mirror for the vain

and good advice too

Check out the washrooms at Sunway Shopping Centre...new block...

My new play mate in office

Am having a new complete PC set.

Our company has a policy on IT hardware, all the gadgets have to come from our Over the Sea & Ocean HQ

The boxes arrived last week. I only unpacked them today and when I took out the CPU, I was surprised as they made them so small nowadays..

the old and new CPUs

the old and the new CPUs next to the existing speaker

my new PC set ..me still trying to sort out the connections points and wirings as they only sent me the hardware and no handsome IT guy from over the sea and ocean to help me..

Birthday and Monkey

There is a birthday in the family this week … The aunt specially ordered this cake for the birthday girl as it is her Chinese Zodiac.

It was definitely not easy to cut this lovable creature up

The first cut is always the hardest ..but one had to do what one had to do …
and so begins the dissection

the tail was first to go

then the lower back

and then the buttock ''(emmm..wonder who got that part of the cake)

and finally what left after everyone has a share of the poor creature...
