MY FRIEND & PARTNER

IN THE RAT RACE

This is my dictionary..Oxford Advance Learner Dictionary – published in 1989. I bought this book (in 1989 lah) @ RM59.90 at the Popular Book Store in Jalan Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. It's the Low Priced Edition..(could only afford this version). Those days, my salary was 'chicken feed' and the cost of this dictionary is alot of money (to me at least). The hard cover versions were sold at above RM100.00, if I were to buy that, I have to PUASA (fast) for the next half month.

It has been my faithful companion for the last 20 years, going thru the same ups (& downs) with me. It has tagged along through my various jobs (I will tell you how many jobs I have switched since working, but that’s another story). It has seen me transforming from a greenhorn, wet behind the ears clerk (shivering whenever the stupid MD , aka Mad Dog. asked to enter his office) to a seasoned toughened woman.

It has aged and bruised in the process of evolving with me. I have lovingly 'bandage' it with scotch tape.

My dictionary, my best friend and faithful partner....

A Cup of Coffee A Day

to keep me awake in the office!

I just have to have my hot cup of coffee in the morning before my brains can function properly. If I do not have my fix, my whole morning will be so blur blur and I am like zombie, waiting to snap anyone who crosses my path.

Actually I love coffee and been drinking it since young..could still remember brewing the coffee (those pure black Chinese type) in the old kettle (with thick coat of soots), on the charcoal stove. After pouring me a cup, my grand mom would scoop many many spoonfuls of sugar into the kettle and that will be her minuman for the rest of the day..I am still wondering till todate how come she’s not a diabetic despite drinking all those extra sweet kopi.

This drinking habit evolved into daily affairs when I enter the rat race, I think I am a caffeine addict now. Can't survive the working day without it. Maybe also besides the Dollar sign, I need the extra stimulatant beverage to boost me to work.

Coffee served at those air-cond cafés cannot beat those serve at the old coffee shop..give me Chinese Hainan coffee kaw kaw any day, couple with roti bakar (toasted bread), spread over with home made kaya a..emmmmm that will certain make my day..

Friends tell me they cannot sleep after drinking coffee..

so my advice is

Sunday Morning

Woke up late on Sunday ... was too lazy to walk/drive out for breakfast. Prepared own breakfast consisting of : sausage, fried egg, chicken fingers, baked beans and salad.

That's my youngest girl breakfast ...with cucumber instead of salad as she dislikes the sourish taste of mayonnaise

For lunch, I let the girls helped in the kitchen, like peeling onions, garlic, washing and cutting vegetables. Also let them tried their hands at frying some vegetables:

'mother/daughters bonding' time in kitchen

aizzz.. have to let them cook at same time, o/wise they will be fighting over the wok (roll eyes)

These Hearts of Mine

These are the hearts my youngest daughter gave to me..

The paper were left-overs from her handicraft lesson in school. She cut out big hearts and little hearts. On the reverse side of each heart, she wrote the 3 words in English, Chinese and Malay. I guess, if she knows Tamil, she would have written them in Tamil too..

Daughters melt our hearts with their most unintentional ways.

PS : Her Malay is terrible,,I guess she meant to write ' Aku cinta awak'

CLEANING UP MY PC

LAP SAP (RUBBISH)

Hi, I am back online again…got the KEY to my IE Door ..

Last week, my IT administrator, did a spring clean on my PC, remotely from his comfortable office chair 10,000km and a time zone difference of 7 hours.

Hahahha..he sure did have a lot of sweeping to do, I could see him moving the cursor over some of my icons..like MSN, I Tunes, MSN Emoticons , etc etc etc etc

I guess, after he was done with my PC, he had a BIG HEADACHE. You see, I am an IT hoarder, I seldom erase any of my mails & files (official or junk wise) , so my mail boxes & efiling cabinets dated back to 2000. You never know when you might need the information again mah, rite or not (?)

Wuahahha..I could see him trying to access some of my folders and having problems with them. And I definitely did not make life any easier for him by having tons of mails and info on my HDisks.

Solli handsome administrator, but women are women, we just love to keep them although we know we might never used or even need them again.

PS : I also pai seh (ashamed)..he was opening my IT closets and looking into all the 'em kin tak kong' (cannot see daylight) stuffs..

YAAAB Mr Lim

While waiting for my administrator to find the KEY (password), I wrote this in my word file, cos don’t want to forget what I want to write..or rather what I felt (sign of parkinson or something??)

Was reading Lilian’s blog (5xmom - I read her blog from another stand alone backup PC incase our server KO, that wan can access anything).

I just love the way she described her state CM – Mr Lim Guan Eng. I can understand her, her CM is like an unsung hero. Did you know that he travels on economy class although he is allowed otherwise?

Me so proud that I have the same surname with one of the the most nicest & humble CM in Malaysia, whom is also the son of the ex-opposition Leader in our Parliament … YAB Mr Lim Kit Siang loh..

Also not to forget, the rich family who owns the resort up in the hill is also LIM (i noe, you will think I yan chan yan cheik = trying to be related)

I can only remember and relate to the good LIMs, the bad wan,,solli, no space in this little brain of mine to keep unnecessary info.

REJECTED : Cannot Access IE - Mati Liao

came in this morning to the office, turned on my PC, accessed my mails (officials wan lah), replied them, and thought, okay,,now I can access the blogs. Clicked on the IExplorer..then I had a pop up box, demanding for my sign in name and password. Sign in name, no problem lah, keyed it in, accepted, the it asked for my password, keyed in loh my usual password ..and it GOT REJECTED .. I tot, cannot be rejected wan, so i keyed in again, REJECTED, 3rd try (tot 3rd time lucky mah),,,also REJECTED.. KNS (kanasai = shit), I been barred from accessing the internet by the IT administrator, die lioa..have they found out I've been naughty and blogging from office (akin to abuse of company's assets/time etc etc).

So me like a chicken running without it's head, because how to survive the day without accessing the IE lah..mati kebosanan, just imagine all the juicy gossips I will be missing with my MSN friends, all the naughty emails I cannot access during the day...LIFE WILL BE SO BORING IN OFFICE OLEDI..

Let me find out more from the administrators later,,maybe they will give me the GOLDEN key (aka password) to my IE Door..

If you do not read any new postings from me, it means I've been given the DEAD SENTENCE..

got to go pratice my 'persuasive sweet talking' vocal cord in front of the mirror now..

Today Is Already Wednesday, the Day I

dislike or like most?

Dislike most because Wednesday is the middle of the working week,,that means I have to work 2 (two, dua) more days before I can enjoy my weekend..

Like most cos Wednesday, being the middle of the working week, means that I have survived the last two days and only have two days to go before the weekend..

So, do l dislike or like Wednesday most? Emmm..I also tak tau lah..

It will depends on how my today - Wednesday is going to be like

PERGI MINUM (OUT FOR TEA)

Yesterday, at about 11 something, two officers from the local council came to the office to check the business and premises licences.

I invited them into the office so that they could write their report more comfortably (that’s after I was 100% sure they were from the authority)

After inspecting the licences and making some notes, as they were about to leave, they asked me a question,’Kamu seorang saja kah kerja kat ofis? (Are you working alone in this office?), of which I replied.. ‘Bukan saya saja, rakan rakan saya dah keluar (No, I do not work alone, my colleagues are out)..

And can you guess what did one of the officer replied to that?

Guess lah…

minum kah?

Doi..my rakan rakan sekerja keluar dari ofis bukan untuk minum lah..untuk cari perniagaan, untuk cari bizness kerana gaji bulanan mereka bergantung kepada produKtiviti mereka lah..

We need to work lah to survive, not minum lah ..UNLIKE IN SOME PUBLIC DOMAIN

doi..asyik minum saja waktu kerja kah?

Why Do I Rush Every Morning To Office?

Made breakfast this morning for the kids and hubby before rushing to office. I do not know why I have to rush to office, I really don't know. My boss is on his vacation and like a Chinese saying, 'No Wong Koon', translated to something like no boss to 'hawk over you'.

Maybe it the habit instilled in me since I started working, right after my SPM, that's like eons ago. Those days, in that Japanese office, we have a 'punch card' system and to have a time in red ink in the card is terrible like a 'dead sentence' hanging over my head. Our HR Head will actually deduct our 'overtime' as penalty for being late to work.

So now, even when I have 'No Wong Koon' , I still rush to office and make sure I am on time,

aiyah..old habits die hard rite

The Plane, the plane

When I was a child, I always wonder how it was to be sitting inside an aeroplane? How is the feeling when the aeroplane takes off and when it lands? When I look out at the clouds, do I feel like I am with the fairies in some far far away land?

In those days, we are not so lucky cos our parents do not bring us on holidays, not even to Genting Highlands. So do not even think of going for holidays on an aeroplane. Unless one's parents are filthy rich....

To cut the story short, I always felt that to be on a plane, one mesti ada gaya ada style.

I got my maiden 'ada gaya ada style' feel in 1987, my first aeroplane experience to Medan, aiyah, I know it was only a 50 minute flight.

At least now I know how it felt to be amongst the 'fairies' in the clouds

Would You If You are Dating

Was having lunch with family yesterday…I ordered ABC (Air Batu Campur / Mixed Crush Ice) as dessert. My younger daughter, who has terrible sweet tooth, scooped up the ice cream that came with the ABC. After she was done, the ice has melted and the ABC was practically a bowl of brownish murky mixtures. Having no patience with the small spoon provided (no straw given) and not wanting to waste any, I tilted the bowl and drank all the contents straight from it…

After finishing, my eldest daughter asked me a question “Mum..would you have done this if you were on a date with daddy” as in a date before marriage

MUAHAHHAA..DEFINITELY A BIG NOOOOOOOOO

if I was on a date, I definitely would have show my bestest of my manners … I will pick on my food daintily and take small sips of drinks…..pretend to be already full (even though was still famish and could eat a horse), converse softly, laugh shyly and smile sweetly, and my boyfriend will think that I am the most demure Chinese lady in the world..

See, we women (and also the men) can really put on the best behaviours and manners during our dating times

Whattahack ..so double standard

Bid to ensure temple concert watched only by non-Muslims
By IAN MCINTYRE

PASIR MAS: Organisers of a concert held as part of the celebrations at a small Taoist temple here were told to “cover up” so that the shows were only watched by non-Muslims.

Apparently, some Muslim men and women had been seen among the audience on Tuesday, the first night of the two-day concert with male and female artistes, and the district council was informed about it.

On Wednesday night, the council sent officers to prevent Muslims from watching the shows and told the organisers to put up a curtain to block the view of passers-by.
The event, to celebrate the birthday of the Gods, was held with an outdoor community concert organised by members of the Tao Tin Hu Keng Association.

MCA vice-president Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai, who was here for another function, said some people would interpret the action of the council as distasteful as it was only a two-day religious festival.

He said many such events were held at temples previously and no action were taken by the authorities.

In the incident, although the organisers received a permit, the local council found that they were flouting guidelines by allowing Muslims to view performances by female artistes, some of whom were “sexily” dressed.

Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said the guidelines on outdoor performances clearly stated that female artistes were barred from performing. He said that although the concert was within the temple compound, it was held in an open space where others could watch.

He said any permit given by the local authorities were subjected to the same bylaws and should be respected by all.

State Gerakan chairman Datuk Ng Chiang Chin, whose house is in front of the temple, said it was the second time that a religious celebration at a temple was disrupted.

So, waking me (a non muslim) up before 6am every day with their LAUNGAN SUBUH (morning prayers) and making me listen to their daily 5x LAUNGANs is ok is it?

Pak Lah to announce steps to ease fuel price rise burden

For those of us whom read this piece news in the local MSM last week (July 14, 2008), it brought a glimmer of hope that at least our gomen is really really trying to help us the poor tax paying citizens..

In case you need to refresh your memory on what the PM said, below is the link :-
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/7/14/nation/21816198&sec=nation

Me thought that gomen makers will have positive measures like reducing our personal income tax, reducing tolls charges, reducing what can still be reduced to make life a bit more comfortable for the fixed income employees liked us..

D Day arrived (Friday), I was waiting to rush home to listen to Bernama News on THE annoucement, well, well, our dear PM did announce something positive...

Taxis will get 720 litres of fuel a month at RM1.92

details as per below link :
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/7/19/nation/21869180&sec=nation

Did this benefited the majority citizens? Definitely not me, or the family ..

the price of my Curry Mee will still remains at RM5 / bowl (from RM4.50 before the fuel hike)

My First Enzyme Drink

My line dancing kawans (please read more about them at cllinedance.blogspot.com) have been crazy over enzymes making since Mr Handsome Youngmanlim treated us to his home made enzymes drinks.

After hearing of their success stories on cultivating this health drink, yours truly also decided to try her hand on it..' want face mah'' if they can do it, I also can wuah...

My first enzyme drink
dragon fruit ============>

the taste - quite ok..a bit alcoholic as I used rock sugar instead of Oligo 900 organic sugar...

my next enzyme = probably green apple

My Once A Week Cooking

Try my best to cook at least the Saturday lunch, to give myself the opportunity to learn new skills, as there is a saying ' the way to a man's heart is through his stomach' (of course also got other methods lah, but cannot mention in this blog)

The other reason is that at least my mother in law can have a rest day too. Ok Ok..me trying to make myself so angelic until you want to vomit rite!

These were the dishes I cooked last Saturday :--

kong poh sotong - cuttle fish
yeong chong tin kai - spring chicken (aka frog)
si yau har = prawns in sauce
taugeh = beansprouts

(the siew yoke bought from market)

Also soup made from old chicken with Chinese herbs.

Yummy yummy...

You Tink It's Your Road Kah?

Why Does Some People Have to Drive Like they owe the whole road

Don’t you get irritated when you are unfortunate to meet such drivers in your daily travels? I just do not understand why do they need to drive so slowly on the fast lane .. they think they owe the road or wat?

Very geram when you are rushing in the morning to drop the children at the schools, or rushing to be at your working station before the boss’s in..then you get caught in a small crawl all because someone is driving his GLEAMING new Accord and enjoying his morning date with his new ‘lover’.

If you want to test out your new lover early in the morning when every one is rushing to school or work or wat nots, please go drive in a kampong road cos I don’t have the patience to be one of your dayang (palace maids) or chaperones for the next 1km or 2.

and your new lover may be sodomised … you like to brake brake and drive so slowly, sumone behind may get all ‘hot’ and cannot stop itself from hantaming your gleaming new belakang..then PADAN MUKA (serve you rite) ..muahahhaa

Do I Swim? Yes, I Definitely Do, Like A...

ROCK

everytime sum one ask me that question, that will be my answer lah..

wondering how i swim like a rock..simple saja ..have you seen how fast a rock sink to the bottom when thrown into the river or sea..that me lah.

Yours truly here has never taken any swimming classes, cos too poor and too takut (afraid) of dying and become the Hantu Air (Water Ghost)

my first swimming (sinking) experience was at Pulau Redang. The usual package of 3D/2N will have 2-3 snorkelling trips to the marine park and nearby islands..

Being my 1st maiden trip there, I felt inlove with the place & also being a Kiasu, we (mostly lah) Asian love to do and see everything during our holidays..

Not to lose out and be shortchanged because I oledi paid for the trip, I followed the gang onto the boat for the snorkelling trips. After the Marine Park, we were taken to another island to do more snorkelling.. the boat anchored, and everyone jumped into the sea, including me, snorkelling gear and safety vest safely in place.

Was floating happily and enjoying the underwater scenery. Then realise I have drifted quite far from the boat, I tried to turn around and paddle back to the boat...Tapi alamak, instead found myself going opposite direction and farther away ..panic set in, the guides were not in sight, and no one took any notice of me, all happily spread out swimming.

What to do... muahahar..shouted JIU MING, JUI MING (HELP HELP)..& luckily my daughter came to my rescue and towed me to boat..

Till today my daughter sometimes still tease me about this ..MALU saja

2009 Resolution - Learn to Swim
why not now but 2009..cos I still have time to procastinate ..man man lai ..no hurry mah..not going to any islands this year what

SOLLI PDRM

Hee hee hee..today I need to do atonement* with my God, because I cuss the wrong people early early this morning. And moreover, weekend is getting closer, so I have this déjà vu of being near to GOD.

This morning, I left my neighbourhood at 6.50am to fetch my girl to school, which is about 10km away from home. I turned to join the main traffic on Sg Buloh towards Kepong and wham bang, the traffic jam oledi 2 miles long. First I tot car broke down ? then I tot accident? And then I tot – DPRM (you know who lah)..having road blocks ..but at SG Buloh..but apa (for what) ? Was cussing them silently all the way until I reached the spot of PIA ..ACCIDENT lah..4 in 1..

Solli solli..please forgive me for cussing the wrong people so early Myspace Comment Graphics, Funny Comment Graphics

*(The atonement is a doctrine found within both Christianity and Judaism. It describes how sin can be forgiven by God)

CSI and their DNA

one of my favourite tv series is CSI - Crime Scene Investigations,, (beside LOST - has the series ended? any one knows? )..

like i mentioned in my entry this week, the handsome and pretty smarties are always ready and on hand to take all the clues from the crime scene, including the DNA of the dead, murdered and suspects. Then it will be back to their lab to process the DNA before the DNA can be contaminated or damaged. DNA can be damaged by many different sorts of mutagens, which change the DNA sequence (copy/paste from Wikipedia). If you wish to know more about mutagens, go read in Wikipedia.

An elderly guy was found murdered at his house. No force break in and nothing (nothing) was taken from the house. The guy was just plain dead…mati..wan lioa.

CSI was notified and they came to do the crime site sweep, take DNA samples and do what they need to do.

From the evidences gathered and analyze carefully, the biggest suspect was the stepson, whom is staying at the hostel in the university. But the CSI wondered what the motive to the murder? Information gathers from surrounding neighborhood indicated that the stepfather has taken good care of the stepson well ever since the death of his biology mom at a tender age.

The stepson was called in for questioning, with the usual questions asked. He had very conflicting answers but without concrete proof, the CSI let him off, but kept on working on the case to get new leads.

A few days, the stepson was hauled in again for questioning and he broke under pressure. He admit to the murder

BECAUSE …

he was sexually abused by the stepfather when he was a teenager. This stop only when he moved out to stay at the university’s hostel few months ago. He has never been back to the house till the nite of the murder. He committed the crime because he felt depressed and USED (like no harga oledi/ 2nd hand).

To appeal for lighter sentence and proof that he was sexually abused and sodomised, he offered to have DNA of his step father lifted from his whole body.

At this junction, I became very confused cos

Don’t tell me he never bath, wash his backside or even berak (pass motion) during these few months so that he can safekeep the precious DNA to proof his case..

Ptuiii..i will not watch this CSI again..semua tipu punya..think I so stupid to believe.. I will switch channel

Then I hear the Azan Subuh being blare from the ‘neighbourhood friendly’ surau near my house
I terlompat (jumped) up ..and arrrrrr this is only a dream..mimpi saja..

If Only I was Taller

Was eating lunch at my usual coffee shop and saw the usual bunch of lunch crowd..have been having my afternoon meals at the same place for the last 10 years, so I always refer to it as THE CANTEEN.

Then a tall, lanky lady walked in and straight to the food counter. She has a good height and a nice figure too. I was admiring her from behind (not tat i feel 'gay' or anything), sighing silently and wishing.. IF only I had her height...haizzzz

I am only 1.5m (5ft) from the tip of my head to the further tip of my toes..and that statistic is getting lower due to the gravity factor.

If only I was taller,
I would be an airstewardess (those days, it's very glamorous to be a waitress in the sky, ok)

If only I was taller,
I would be a model , then I can wear all the pretty clothes, accessories, make-up etc etc (and get paid for it)

If only I was taller,
I would marry a kwai loh, cos they are so tall and handsome (read too many Mills & Boons, and Barbara Cartland books while growing up)

well, if only

TODAY I Feel Gay

Today, I feel very gay..maybe b'cos it's already Thursday and I can see the weekend approaching. And probably also cos my boss is on his long vacation, which means that I am also on semi vacation, alas in the office..

But then I tot, how can I said I feel GAY, .cos when I mentioned I feel gay to my friends, they will tink there is something wrong with me.

Why do we now always associates a lot of words to their sexual orientation instead of their original term.

I remember while in primary school, the same meaning of :

gay = happy , care free

but with the turn of century, the gay word nowadays means (anything except happy) homosexuality, stupid, foolish.

To Gay or Not Be Gay .that the question.

THE DEBATE

On normal Tuesday nites, I would be a couch potato and staring at the IDIOT box, enjoying my favourite CSI series..it's very exciting to see how the handsome & pretty smarties solved complicated murders, by obtaining DNA, do crime sweep etc etc.. the show is so CANGGIH .. Haizz..if only sum country can learn 10% of their tactics.. If I can't catch CSI on weekends, then the IDIOT Box is all mine from 9pm - 12midnite on Sundays for the repeat of all three CSI series.

Yesterday, I made a BIG Sacrifice..I watched Channel 502 (BERNAMA) for the GREAT DEBATE ..

I was never a big admirer of Dato's Sri Anwar Ibrahim or the Information Minister.

The one hour live debate was simply fantastic..it really showed the charismatic & ARTICULATION of one of the debater

Even before the debate started, I knew whom will win HAND DOWNS..there is not doubt that the man still has it..

now I am slowly changing my view of him oledi..is that good or bad?

Right Their Mistakes :-9

whenever I am in a bad mood, I just loved to find other people's mistakes (especially the public sectors) and give them more than an earful.

early this year, after the IRD (Income Tax Dept) said that hubby & I still owe them money from previous years (not the first time we received such notice), I decided to dig into my tax chest and pull out all the documents. Rechecked through all info for each year & found that (if) my records are correct, IRD still owe us $.

Went to the IRD Jalan Duta , checked with the lady at the counter and since she could not help much, she called for our files.

After waiting for 20min-30mins (considered very fast oledi), was attended by another female staff.. went through each and every years PCB remittances..and found (ahahhaha)..

1) they have wrongly credited one of my monthly PCB to someone's account in Wangsa Maju branch. That someone has a different surname, different name different Tax File # and tax location.

2) my hubby's 8 months PCB's payments from 1997 are yet to be credited into his file, despites humpteen times we wrote in to explain situation. His employer has also certifed the payments with IRD.

When I asked the lady how fast IRD can reverse out the 1st mistake, she said they have to send an email to IRD Wangsa Maju and wait for a reply. Asked her - wait how long, she said don't know, she added that if I want fast action, I have to call Wangsa Maju myself and tell them to reverse the money out to my account ....KCB ..my blood boiling now.. wattahack, they made a mistake and they expect me to correct it..

asked when they going to rectify 2nd mistake, get same reply...they know the money is in, but they cannot tell when it can be credited .......helloo..it's been 11 bl**dy years since the payment was made and they still cannot rectify it.. is it so difficult to do internal adjustments within IRD, with all the proofs given ..

Two months later (in April), I followed up on both cases again..and I get the same replies..

Never mind, I go to IRD every month, so when I have bad moods, I will pay them a visit to release my tension..

Traffic Jam Again

Yesterday, was driving home after work, thinking that since most cars would be stuck at the terrible horrendous traffic in city centre, I would have a smooth journey home, which is about 11km or 10mins drive . and just as I turned my car to join the main road, I saw this terrible jam stretching from Kepong towards Sungei Buloh. My first thought was, 'Don't tell me the road blocks are here too'. Drove slowly to join the main traffic and was cussing inside the people responsible for the jam (thinking it was the road block)...

Further down the road, I realised that cars from opposite lane were not so crampacked..then it dawn on me.. accident loh ..as usual all the bizi bodies at work..causing the jam.
A driver decided to do stunt, driving his car into the big monsoon drain outside Prima Damansara.
Aiyah..

I've changed my Blog's name

today, i've changed my blog's name (ok, i admit myself to be a little fickle minded)..

the first name i chose was a bit on over 18 side, and may be banned (bcos the forbidden words) was the title..

from today onwards, my blog will be jasjoy..

and my friends will know why i chose this name..

My Own Nursery Rhyme on KL Traffic Jam

When my girls were younger, and whenever we get stuck in the traffic jam (because some bizi bodies nid to slow down to see what's happening on the oppositve lane), to kill time and keep them occupied, we wud sing this nursery rhyme (rhymn to Old McDonald Had A Farm)

KL has many roads , E I E I O

And on the roads, there's many cars, E I E I O

And the jam jam here , and the jam jam there

Here JAM , there JAM , every where Jam Jam E I E I O

this song is copyright..in case you want to sing it, you nid to pay royalties ..email me for my account ...Happy Singing

My Friend's BDay

Yesterday was K's birthday. This year not sending her any flowers cos it's too expensive and also the flowers will last only a week or so..So my dear K..this for you ..
wishing you a terrific year ahead & all your wishes come true..hope to meet you soon
hugs from KL

Traffic Jam in Klang Valley (Again)

was early to work this morning, (as usual) since I have to send my girl to school.

My girl frenz msn me at 9 sumting, asking if i was stuck in a traffic jam. Apparently she was this morning and yesterday (Sunday) too. the police are having road blocks at every main roads leading to KL town since there was rumour that there will be some protest rally around Parliment House today. You may read more in the newspaper link : http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/7/14/nation/20080714113547&sec=nation

Luckily for me, my office is near home, so I do not have to travel to town to earn a living. But for those whom has too, i really feel sorry for them, cos with the expensive petrol now, getting stuck in a traffic for 1 hour with the car engine on, is definitely not a pleasant experience. And especially in cause where it's only a rumor that sumting will be happening.

For those whom caused the unnecessary traffic :

Our Anniversary - Thanks Girls

Last week was our marriage anniversary. I was 'purposely' complaining to my girls that since papa is not home, it will be a lonely celebration..there is no way to celebrate an anniversary if your better half is not in town. The day came and went with no celebration.

Hubby returned on the weekend and the whole family went to fetch him from KLIA, and then to dinner at Sunway Damansara. After that, I went for my line dancing pratice with my kawan kawan at the club till 10.00am. By the time I came home, the girls were about to retire for the nite.

The next morning, after my classes (yea, line dancing again), showered and was in room chitchatting with hubby, my eldest girl asked hubby & me to go downstairs ..and I guessed that the cake in the fridge (i saw the nite before) was for us..

I Nid to Say TQ to CL

Today, i have been rather talkative..writing 3 entries oledi in my own blog..it's nice 2 be able to express or explode our feelings into our own blog, cos it like your own personal diary, where you write wat you want.

anyway, my this blog is to say a BIG THANK YOU to CL (you know who you are) cos, i tink if she has not started the line dancing blog and invited me to be a co-author, it would not have revived my interest to write (more like yakking) so much

Saw / read from the blog that there will be lots of nice homecooked food. The ladies are a bunch of 100%, very cun bunch..can cook, can dance , everything also can do (sorry chris, i stole the pictures from your blog : cllinedance.blogspot.com)

I, the greedy makan lady, whom love to eat (but not cook) cannot attend, because my cousin is having a gathering too..
